  • Jackson as the “People’s President
  • Spoil system
  • Jackson’s “Kitchen Cabinet”
  • President Jackson strived to be a people's president by making all men have to right to vote. The rich men and the poor men could all vote.
  • The Nullification Crisis of 1828-1833
  • The spoils system is when President Andrew Jackson fired most people in the cabinet. He gave his supporters the roles.
  • Indian Removal Act and the Trail of Tears
  • The kitchen cabinet was Andrew Jackson's presidential cabinet. Most of these people were his supporters, most of them were untrained or unqualified.  
  • The Bank War
  • The federal government put taxes on goods. South carolina did not follow these laws. They also threatened to secede.
  • The indian removal act was the removal of many native American tribes to Oklahoma. Many natives died on the way because of disease or starvation.
  • The bank war was when people tried to create a second national bank. This in turn caused the national bank to end and and more state bank were created.
