  • Ch.2: The eyes of Doctor T.J. Eckleburg
  • Ch.3: Gatsby's House Parties
  • The green light symbolizes Gatsby wanting daisy, but even though they live close to each other shes mentally far away from him. This is important because it shows us how much he wants and needs daisy.
  • Ch.5: Weather Change
  • The eyes of T.J. Eckleburg represents the all seeing eye, thats watching the corruption, sadness, and lies happening. This is important because the eyes foreshadow the events coming.
  • Ch.7:Hot Weather
  • Gatsby's parties represent corruption, the type of people at his party who he knows and does business with. This is important because it shows us what Gatsby's past might look like.
  • Ch.8: House Wreck
  • The weather change, symbolized how Gatsby felt seeing daisy again after five years. This is Important because we learn how Daisy and Gatsby feel after seeing each other.
  • The hot weather symbolizes,the tension rising in the room with Gatsby, Tom, and Daisy. This is important, because the weather explains just how tense the book is getting.
  • The house wreck symbolizes how Gatsby feels about daisy not calling him and how he thinks he has lost her. This is important because it tells us how Gatsby feels.
