  • the general called a meeting. He called the meeting because the French government was having financial crises. there was a big group of people most of the population were members of the Third Estate. The king said that each estate would vote as a body. which is a part of a vote by order.this was a move to democracy because men were becoming equal.

  • during the constitution in 1971 on June 20th, the members of the third estate took the tennis court oath, and they pledge not to split up and to com back together with the national assembly, until the constitution of the kingdom was established. this was a push towards democracy

  • the storming of the Bastille set off a series of events that started the french revolution. the Bastille was a fortress. a prison the people stormed the Bastille on July 4th, 1789 this was one of the events that helped bring about the revolution. this was a push forward to democracy.

  • on October 4th, 17, a crowd of people of women and a few men marched to Versailles and demanded bread. they also demanded that the king and queen go back to pairs, and refused to leave until they promised to do so. this was a push towards democracy.
