The Era of Good Feelings occurred shortly after the War of 1812. Nationalist pride was felt from defeating Great Britain and caused the era to take place.
It ended in 1825. Economic conflicts in the North, South, and West motivated the Era to fall apart.
Notable improvements that occured during this time period include advancements in industrialization by Samuel Slater, who started the first factory and Eli Whitney, who invented interchangeable parts and the cotton gin. Others include the Tariff of 1816, the Bank of the United States' recharter, military expansion, the American System, and improvements to transportation.
