  • Goggles are an important part of lab safety!
  • I don't like goggles because of my glasses.
  • BG
  • Oh no I was not paying attention and knocked over the beaker!
  • Wow! That was a close one! I understand why I should be wearing closed toe shoes!
  • Yeah and you should probably tie your hair back because it is long.
  • Summary
  • Goggles should be worn in the lab.Goggles protect your eyes from getting chemicals or other hazardous objects stuck in them. You are required to wear goggles over glasses. Glasses are not protective like splash goggles.
  • Summary
  • Broken glass, accidents, and injuries should be reported immediately to the teacher. This is to prevent more injury and ensure broken glass and chemicals are disposed of properly.
  • Summary
  • Closed toe shoes must be worn in the lab. Also, long hair must be tied back. If chemicals are spilled or glass breaks on the floor, closed toe shoes protect your feet. Tying back long hair decreases the risk of it catching on fire when using a flame or knocking lab materials over.
