Nah, it's alright. Uh , do you want to come sit with me?
My name is James.
My name is Kiara!
Kiara sat on her bed, thinking of the war going on right now. She sighed and was about to cry because her favorite uncle was out there fighting against the wicked Pelos. She has always been taught that the Pelos were the bad people in the picture. her father had once told her a story about them. The Pelos had come to her land and chopped off their Kings head and nobody ever found out until very recently.
Kiara decided some fresh air would be good for her. COFFEE, her brain begged. Coffee would also do her some good. She hadn't been able to sleep because thinking of war kept her awake. So Kiara headed down to the magical corner building called STARBUCKS...The fresh smell of coffee and the sound of people talking was something she loved. "My usual please," Kiara has been to this place so many times that everyone who worked there knew her order. Once she got her latte, she turned around and headfirst crashed into someone, someone who smelled good, REALLY good. Like strawberries and cocoa powder. "I am so sorry!" Kiara gasped. She finally got a good look at him. He had hazel eyes and brown hair, almost like a chocolate brown color. But his jacket had her latte all over it.

"No it's alright", he said. He then turned around, but then hesitated before saying, "Do you want to come sit with me? I mean, if you came by yourself." he added quickley. Kiara laughed, "Ok!" she said. "By the way, my name is James", he said. " My name is Kiara!" she said. Kiara had a wonderful time. She and James had talked so much and they even planned another meeting, or date, as Kiara called it. But Kiara's parents were very protective, and they wanted to know every single detail of her life. But Kiara, being a teenager, wanted to keep her love life private. Soon the day of her next "date" came. As she was leaving the house, her mother called out from the kitchen. "Where are you going?" her mother questioned. "Uhh, the coffee shop, yes, going to the coffee shop!" she lied. "Ok", her mother replied, though she sounded uncertain.

"I was wondering if maybe you should meet my parents..." she trailed off. "Uhh, I don't think that's such a good idea". "Why not?" Kiara was confused "Well, um, it's a little complicated". "You can trust me though, can't you?" "Yes I can, but I just can't tell you". "What do you mean, you just can't? You said you trusted me!" "Yes, but-" "But what!?" Kiara's voice was becoming shrill. "I don't want to keep lying to my parents about this! "FINE!" James got up and just left.
Kiara was miserable. Ever since she and James fought, she was lonely and sad. "Kiaaraaa! Come down here. I want to show you something." her father called out from downstairs. "Coming!" Kiara said in her best I'm-not-crying-voice. She slowly made her way downstairs, and saw her mother and father in the living room, waiting for her. Her father had a newspaper in his hands, her mother look pale and frightened. "Is something w-wrong?" Kiara was even afraid to ask. "Take a look at this", her father handed her the newspaper that he was holding. she took the newspaper and saw the headline. It read: WANTED! Underneath was a picture of a man with hazel eyes and brown hair, almost like a chocolate brown color. JAMES!?, Kiara thought frantically. But she kept on reading. 'Criminal from Pelos wanted for questioning on accusations for planned kidnap and murder'. Below that was a picture of a dingy desk with a bulletin board above it. Push pins and red marker covered up the pictures that hung in there, so Kiara couldn't quite make them out. She kept reading on:'Victom is shown below' And under that was a picture of a girl with red hair and blue eyes. A picture of Kiara...She started to cry, and she didn't even try to stop them. "Kiara, what's wrong?" her mother asked concerningly."You know none of this is your fau-" And that's when Kiara broke down and confessed. She told them everything, from how it all started with her and James at the coffee shop, to the recent fight. "Oh it's ok Kiara, it's ok" her mother and father tried to comfort her, but despite their warm actions, it didn't help much.
Soon when Kiara couldn't handle it anymore, she locked herself in her bedroom and went to bed. At least, she tried to. She tossed and turned but didn't get a wink of sleep. She closed her eyes, but her eyes flew open as soon as she heard something moving in the corner of her room. she quickly scanned her eyes over the area but couldn't find anything there, so she told herself to go to sleep. But the noise came again peeked a little. But what she saw terrified her. Above her was a dark figure holding a very pointy knife in his hands. Before she could scream, a pierce of pain went through her stomach and all went dark. THEME... Always tell your parents about big things going on in your life. Kiara didn't tell her parents about James, and if she did, then she would most likely still be alive.
