  • Women’s March on Versailles

  • Reign of Terror
  • With the food shortage being a problem, prices were skyrocketing. The women were getting outraged and started a rebellion. The women marched to versailles to complain and demanded the king to never return to the palace.
  • Execution of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette
  • The Declaration of the Rights of Man was something similar to the US constitution. It says all men have equal rights, every citizen has a right to decide on their own, and nobody should be forced to do work for the law.
  • Rise of Napoleon
  • The reign of terror was a time when radicals were taking over the government. Anybody who they thought were suspicious, they were investigated and/or put to death. Robespierre made terror an official policy to prevent any person to do suspicious things.
  • Fall of Napoleon
  • King Louis and Antoinette now have done too many evil things to the economy. They were put to death to resolve the issues the French country had. With the King and Queen gone, another power rises to greatness.
  • Napoleon was an officer for the army before he took control of power. His friends wanted him to seize power and rule. after his coup d'etat he went on expanding his empire. He conquers much of Europe, but some powers still remain. Napoleon created the congress of Vienna and was a huge success.
  • Napoleon is starting to lose his power and is losing battles. People then disliked Napoleon for being a different person. Then he later got exiled twice for making poor decisions while ruling. He later died on an island west of Africa.
