  • I had a child!
  • Yay!
  • Raid it!
  • We need you to move to a different reservation.
  • Fine.
  • Victorio was probably born in the Black Range of New Mexico in 1825 as a member of the Eastern Chiricahua Apaches.
  • Get our best men together. Were going raiding.
  • Yes sir.
  • It was said that Victorio rode with Nana and Geronimo for raids into Northern Mexico before he was a chief. Later he goined the Mangas Coloradas.
  • Keep it moving men.
  • After Mangas died Victorio rose as the tribe leader. He banded a group of Eastern Chiricahuas and a group of Mecaleros. In 1869 he and his tribe settled down in near Fort Craig, New Mexico to wait for the new reservation to be built. Although they moved were they were going to have him in for the reservations Victorio did what he was told.
  • After being told the success of raiding from another chief, Victorio took up raiding for the next three years in Mexico, Texas, and New Mexico.
  • Victorio ran into the mountains, were he and his tribe stayed for some time.
  •  On October 15, 1880, Terrazas and Juan Mata Ortiz, surrounded and killed Victorio and his warriors.
