Storyboard Text

  • He can be a religious leader or a king.
  • My son shall be KING!!!
  • I am poor! I need money!
  • You must leave!  The Prince is coming!
  • People die. Our loved ones, and other people from the world. Everyone will die someday including you.
  • I didn't know!
  • Siddhartha Gautama was born a Prince in Nepal around 563 B.C.  A fortune teller predicted two possible futures for the Prince. They were: To become king in the steps of his father, or to be a religious leader. The king wanted his son to become king.
  • I am here to learn self-denial.
  • We are here to help. Welcome.
  • Siddhartha Gautama got married and had children later on. His life was just a good as his childhood, being the way he has been being treated, though his father was hiding the sadness in the world from Siddhartha so that he wasn't thinking of being religious.
  • Siddhartha sneaks out of the castle at night and saw four terrible sights that his father would always protect him from. He soon realized that there is life, death, and rebirth. Also, poor people, beggars, and sad people.
  • What are you?
  • I am ALIVE!
  • Siddhartha Gautama joined a band of ascetics and praticed self-denial for five years. Siddhartha ate less and less until he was so skinny, people could see his back bones from his stomach.
  • Later, he abandones the ascetics and meditates in front of a tree for 49 days without eating. He wants to learn by meditation. He also cut off his hair.
  • After days of meditation, Siddhartha became the Buddha, the religious leader, and help people with their questions.
