- Kino realizes all the trouble and bad things he has caused to his family. He feels very bad about it and wants to make things better.
- “I cannot believe the things I have done to my family. What has made me like this? Could it actually be the pearl?
- Kino didn’t actually see him and Juana getting married. He lied to her to make everything better. He saw a dead body aon the floor surrounded with blood.
- “I am so sorry but I didn’t actually see us getting married. I also didn’t see Coyotito getting the education he needed.”
- “Why didn’t you tell me? I would rather have the truth than to be told something that wasn’t true!”
- Kino looking into the pearl and seeing Coyotito dead in a cave.
- Kino saw Coyotito in a cave lying in his blood. Coyotito had the top of his head shot off.
