Hello there! I'm John H. Noyes. Welcome to our religious perfectionist colony, Oneida, New York.
What is this place?
What is it like here?
This guy is on something, I swear.
In this community, every woman is married to every man, and vice versus! Relations and child bearing are regulated. This is not without its charm though. In this community, women are equal of men, and work alongside one another.
This is our church; in here is where we achieve our salvation. We provide the community with criticism that perfects our ways, and our thinking. Some like to call it public shame, but in my ignorance, I call it beneficial!
What goes on in here? How do you ensure someone's perfect salvation?
HOW'D I GET HERE?!
Hullo there! I am Brigham Young, and you are on the grounds of the Latter-Day Saints! We are located here in Utah after our great founder John Smith was made a martyr on behalf of the Church.
Why did you have to go on the run to Utah?
Here in this place, we allow marriage to reach beyond the confines of a man and one wife. Other's don't agree with it. On the bright side, we were finally made a state in 1896; only after we agreed to stop our practice of Polygamy.
How does your doctrine differ from others?
Here, we follow the writings of Joseph Smith, in the Book of Mormon. Instead of John 3:16 ". . . only Begotten Son" we believe Jesus is our direct brother, and that he was only the First Born of our Father, God. To be inclusive, Jose- I mean, We, believe anyone can go to heaven, not just those who accept Jesus, our brother, as saviour that is clearly stated in the Holy Bible.
