One similarity between "The Monkey's Paw" and "Pandora's box" is that they use curiosity in kind of the same way. The curiosity both starts at the beginning of each story. And the curiosity continues in the story until their turning point.
One other similarity between "The Monkey's Paw" and "Pandora's box" is that they both have curiosity in the story. In Monkeys Paw the Paw is the curiosity because everyone is curious on how the man got it. And in Pandora's box Pandora is the curiosity in the story because everyone on earth wondered where Pandora came from.
One other difference between "The Monkeys Paw" and "Pandora's box" is that the curiosity of Pandora's box doesn't cause any negative effects. The curiosity in Monkey's Paw does cause negative affects. One of the negative effects curiosity caused is when the old woman wished for her son back. But she forgot that he was chopped up into pieces. And also that he was buried 2 miles away. So he couldn't have walked while he was in little pieces all the way to the house. Then the old man said that's not our son. And used the last wish to wish for the thing to disappear.
One other difference between "The Monkeys Paw" and "Pandora's box" is that Pandora is given curiosity when she is made and doesn't cause any negative affects.. But in Monkey's Paw it is created and built apon the story and does cause negative affects. In Pandora's box the curiosity is in someway not negative. The curiosity in Pandora's box is not negative but positive.
