In the book Call of the Wild Buck is a saint Bernard that had a good life. He lived in a mansion with other dogs and was tame, but he was the king of the house.
One day, Buck was outside and a man dressed in black came and took Buck away. Buck fighted qand Bited and tried to protect himself, but he still ended up getting taken.
Come here precious!
Perrault took the dogs to a little hut where he then sold the dogs to Fracois
They took him onto a boat that had other dogs. They only fed him and gave him water. Every time he would bite them, he would get beaten with a club. So Buck learned to just stay to himself and he wouldn't get in trouble.
Buck had to find warmth in the snow at night, he had to pull Francois sled, and he had to deal with Curly dying. He also had to overcome being abused
Now they killed Curly!
Buck went from a pampered pet to a vicious dog. He adapted wolf habits( like howling at the moon) and he learned to be content with living in the snow.
