On September 6, 1620, one hundred of persons, from England, want to start a new life in a new country. They sailed in a boat called Mayflower.
On December 11, 1620, they landed on the north east coast of North America. It was winter, so they started having some problems.
They began to build small houses and look for food because the winter was very strong and several of the pilgrims died.
In the spring, they met a native americans group, called Squanto, they help them to harvest corn and haunted fish.
We are going to help you to harvest corn to eat
Thank you!
Everything was improving, the crops prospered and both groups became friends.
By November 1621, everyone had a house and food so William Bradford decided to prepare a dinner to thank God. This was the first Thanksgiving dinner that remains to this days.
