You Can't Take It With You Author: Eva-Lis Wuorio By: Isabella Hyden
Uncle Basil was a old miser who had a family that doubted him. He always said he was going to take his money with him when he died because his family was fighting over who got it once he was gone. They were very greedy and Uncle Basil didn't like that.
"He can't take it with him."
Uncle Basil's sister asked him to take care of Verner, her oldest son. Uncle Basil ended up letting him stay around and let him be his handyman.
Even though Uncle Basil wasn't dying, he decided he should go ahead and find the right casket he wanted. He brought Verner with him to help. They ended up buying one thats cheaper and not lined..... and it was all part of his plan.
Uncle Basil had made his desicion that he would put all the cash inside the coffin when Verner lined it . He would then be cremated so it would all go with him.
10 years later Uncle Basil is found dead by his housekeeper. His family still had no clue what he did with the money until his lawyer opened a envelope with one line on it. "I did take it with me."
