Storyboard Text

  • My father, who left us, used to ride bikes with us.
  • My Mom, who is now dead, used to take me here every summer.
  • We should go back to the house before the sun sets.
  • She died, hit by a boat in this very lake, all alone.
  • What?!
  • Mommmaaaa!!
  • I'm alive! I left because I am secretly a mermaid!
  • Marin and Nick, who were dating, were enjoying the sunset together.
  • But this doesn't make any sense because mermaids aren't real!
  • Now that you are grown, I can tell you my secret and we can be together again.
  • Since Marin was hungry, she wanted to go home.
  • Suddenly, a mermaid, who was Nick's mom, came out of the water.
  • Same!
  • And although I loved you very much, I still had to leave to keep us all safe.
  • Secretly, Marin was sad her dad didn't come back, since she missed him.
  • Suddenly Marin's dad, who was a fairy, appeared from the sky!
  • Dad!
  • So they all went home and lived happily ever after.
