Tennyson and Bronte argue about Bruiser; he says Bronte shouldn't date him because he is a bully and a weirdo
"As you're brother, it's my sacred duty to save you from yourself"
Tennyson remembers Bruiser without his shirt on and finds out he has scars all over his back. Tennyson thinks he gets into fights and would bring a lot of unwanted attention to Bronte.
Why the heck does he have scars all over his back, my sister shouldn't date him
Tennyson confronts Brusier, and tells him to stop dating his sister or else he will beat him up, but Bruiser doesn't care nor get scared.
"Am I getting through that rock skull of yours, or do I have to pound it through your ears?"
"I read him his Miranda Rights. He has the right to remain silent; he has the right to find another girl to drool over-y'know, the normal things you'd say to a criminal."
Bronte comes rushing into Tennyson's room, screaming at him for threatening Bruiser at Mini Golf. She warns him to stay out of her dating life.
"YOU'RE POND SCUM, WHAT DID YOU SAY TO HIM AT MINI GOLF??!!"
Bruiser and his brother owned a pet bull that recently died, which proved to Tennyson that Bruiser has emotions. He discovers this becauseTennyson followed them home and discovers that they live with an abusive uncle who beats the brothers because they are crying over the loss of their pet.
"How the hell should I know, will you shut up now?"
"Where have you been?! How come you're not home on time?"
"I am home on time, when did it happen?"
"Why can't you just tell him the truth?"
Bronte and Bruiser finally get to go on a date without interruption. They finally get the chance to have a real conversation and get to know each other.
"I had to tell my uncle I'm at Saturday school, so that gives us a few hours."
"Weekends are family time, he prefers me at home."
