Ahahaha! What kind of "man" lets his wife run away from him?
Go find your own house! You are a disappointment to the family!
At the Bathroom
At work, Moody is made fun of by the other male doctors for not being able to control a woman, let alone his wife. He becomes the laughing stock of the Hospital.
At home, Moody's family chastises him constantly, for letting his wife and child run away from him. They believe it is because he foolishly married an American.
As time goes on, Moody becomes an alcoholic, drinking to make his emotions go away. He feels both anger and empathy towards Betty. However, what he feels most is pain, as every day that he lives "Without His Daughter" pains him. Up until Moody's death in 2009, Moody has still not seen his daughter.
