Storyboard Text

  • Act I
  • In Act 1 of Macbeth the three witches, also known as the Weiird Sisters, tell Macbeth of his prophecy of becoming king after his showmanship of bravery and heroicness after chopping off an enemies head.
  • "All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Glamis" (Macbeth, 1, 3).
  • Act II
  • In Act 2 of Macbeth, Lady macbeth has managed to manipulate Macbeth into killing Duncan to become king, Macbeth has second thoughts and feels guilty but once the deed is done he claims that he doesn't know who he is anymore.
  • "To know my deed 'twere best not know myself" (Macbeth, 2, 2).
  • Act III
  • In Act 3, Macbeth realizes that Banquo is starting to get suspicious and must have him killed. He hires two murderers and maipulates them into thinking why their lives are troubled is because of Banquo. So therefore, he must be killed.
  • "This i made good to you in out last conference, passed in probation with you how you were bourne in hand, how crossed, the instruments, to half a soul and to a notion crazzed say 'Thus did Banquo'" (Macbeth, 3, 1).
  • In Act 4, Macbeth meets with the three witches and one of them says to beware Macduff. He later finds out that Macduuff is fleeing to England too meet with Malcom, Duncan's son, to start an army againts Macbeth. So he orders that Macduff's family to be killed so he could have threats eliminated and to show that Macbeth will not fear Macduff.
  • Act IV
  • "The castle of Macduff I will suprise, seize upon Fife, give to th' edge o' th' sword his wife, his babes, and all unfortunate souls that trace him in his line" (Macbeth 4,1).
  • Act V
  • In Act 5, Macbeth admits that he will not be afraid of the battle because he still believes in the prophecy and will survive. He is overly confident and doesn't care about Malcom and his army, he wants to fight so he can prove he has the most power.
  • "I cannot taint with fear. What's the boy Malcom? Was he not born of woman? The spirits that know all mortal consequences have pronounced me thus: 'Fear not, Macbeth. No man that's born of woman shall e'er have power upon thee'" (Macbeth 5, 3).
  • Conclusion Analysis
  • Macbeth starts off as a brave, heroic, and loyal figure in Act 1, he killed an enemy and got praised for it and good was coming his way. He starts to have thoughts on killing the king so he can become king faster but has many second thoughts about it. His wife, Lady Macbeth manipulates him into killing the king, Duncan, and Macbeth becomes very guilty and doesn't know who he is anymore in Act 2. In Act 3 paranioa starts to kick in because Macbeth doesn't want people to know that he killed Duncan. He notices that his friend, Banquo is becoming suspicious and gets hitman to kill Banquo. Once Banquo is killed it's like something started in him and he is turning evil. In Act 4 he finds out that Macduff and Malcom are starting an army, so Macbeth has ordered murderers to kill Macduff's family. In Act 5 he becomes overly confident and cocky since he thinks that nothing couldnt happen to him because of his prophecies and lets the battle come his way. He was wrong and gets slained.
