  • No, what am I? I can't be a cricket! No.. this MUST be a dream. is a dream.
  • Why do I feel different today?
  • Chapter 2: Vivid Dreams to Reality
  • *Huffing: this CAN'T be true...
  • No this must be a dream. It can't be anything but that. I can't let myself be seen like this. I can't be seen like this hideous vermin at work. I CAN'T!
  • I'm losing too much time... how many more years to pay off the debt?
  • Chapter 3: Time Immemorial
  • What am I going to do now?
  • Choo Choo chuga chuga Choo Choo... the train replyed to Gregor.
  • Wait....wait for me sir!
  • Gregor woke up, feeling something different about himself. Something has changed. Looking down in horror, He sees himself as a cricket. With his heart beating fast, he refuses to think this was reality. It is only a mere dream.
  • Chapter 4: The Concideration
  • Out of all the days...why is the chief clerk here!!!?
  • Gregor tired turning around in his bed to get up. However, Gregor failing incredibly, layed flat back onto the bed. Feeling scared and uncertain of this dream, he panicked about going to work in his form.
  • Chapter 5: Overwhelm
  • Dear...please open the door. We want to know if you are well. You don't seem to good today.
  • He thinks over what he has done over the last few days with the same process over and over again: waking up, getting dressed, eating a good breakfast and not missing the train to go to work. Pondering on his lost time for paying his parent's debt.
  • Chapter 6: Appall in Disguised
  • *Horrified*: Is this really... Gregor..?
  • He hears worried questions from his family wondering why he did not get out of his room to go to work. He refuses to go to work and not unlock the door. His mother and sister assumes he is sick because of the way he was speaking. Then the Chief Clerk comes in asking why Gregor missed the train today, but also to set matters on if Gregor tried taking the money.
  • Oh no...I can't let them see me like this.
  • No....I'm fine. I'm going to work just wait... I'm not going to open this door.
  • Dear please open this door. Are you feeling un well? The Cheif Clerk is here.
  • Feeling anxious about how they would see him, he again refuses to open the door. Then considers his options of opening the door. If he opens the door it will give him an excuse to not go to work; a work he does not want to do. Finally, gives in and opens the door by his mouth on the door knob.
  • Why does he not want to open to door? Tsk. The chief clerk is here. Embarrassing our family to shame.
  • Please come out. I need to clarify if you took our money. And why did you miss the train today? Please open the door. This is highly unprofessional.
  • You shame our family different. How could this be?
  • When Gregor opened the door, he saw many reactions. His father, glared angrily then cried out into tears. His mother, horrified by his appearance, fell down to her knees and mourned, while his sister felt heartbroken and shocked. As everyone in his family was horrified yet sad, the Chief Clerk was completely aghast. Gregor stood still at the open door with no words to explain.
  • Gregor dear, is this you? How could this be? To our doom it will be. How...hideous.
