  • George Washington lead the British and had some early defeats at the beginning of the war.
  • The British took control of 2 forts near Nova Scotia. They forced the French to leave and gave the farms to New Englanders.
  • After the British cut off the French's shipping to America the British easily captured Fort Duquesne after the Indians abandoned the French.
  • The French seized the fort protecting the St Lawrence River this cleared their path and made it easy for the British to capture Quebec. 
  • The British gained a lot from the Treaty of Paris, they kept the Great Lakes region, Florida, Canada, and the Ohio River Valley. This greatly increased their power in America.
  • After the war the British were in great debt, they started putting taxes on all the colonist items to get the money back. This angered the colonist and caused a lot of conflict after the war.
