please take some of the pain!
As Jones entered the annex he saw that the giver " was rigid in his chair, his face in his hands. " he knew right away that today their would be no training/ section. So He said " ill come back tomorrow but before leaving he asked " unless maybe there something i can do to help?" asked Jones the giver responded with a worried mixed with scared look on his face " please take some of the pain." ( gasping)
Jones laid on the bed and put his hand on The Giver's shoulder. Slowly he entered The Giver's memory. It was a grassy green field, men groaning, horses going wild, smelly, the air was thick, And there was brown and yellow smoke. Jones then focused on a sound which was someone say "water" "water." So he looked towards that sound and found a blond boy not much older then him and he covered in dirt and fresh blood.
Jones then realized a pain in his arm. He experienced seeing through the torn fabric flesh and bone but with one arm still working just find. He tried his best pushing throw the pain to reach for the metal container. That contained water i'm predicting.
Jones was strong enough to reach for the container and open it.And once it was opened he guided it across lips of the poor blond boy. The water rushed down his throat and afterwards "his head fell back, his lower jaw dropping as if he had been surprised by something." The boy was finally calm, relaxed, and silent.
The boy was finally calm silenced but the noises were still occurring. Their were men injured crying or others were crying, begging " for water and for mother and for death. The horses were out of control. Everything was attacking each other." It was an overwhelming pain" for Jones so he sat down as he heard deaths of men and animal occurring. While at the same time understanding the idea of Warfare.
When Jones couldn't take no more of it not even a second he opened his eyes. And The Giver was disgusted of what he had done again he had given him overwhelming pain. And looking away from Jones The Giver said " forgive me."
