  • Sure Jessica
  • Hey Josh, my teacher started talking about... The Big Bang Theory? Could you teach me about it?
  • Scientist believe that the universe started at a single point the size of an atom and expanded and is still expanding to create what we have today. We call this Hubble's Law.
  • Hubble's Law says that the universe is expanding, but the farther the galaxy is from the point the faster it moves, but the closer the galaxy is to the point the slower it moves
  • After 1 second, protons, neutron and electrons were created. After about 380,000 years the first hydrogen and helium atom formed.
  • Scientist believe that about 13.8 billion years ago was when the Big Bang first started to create all matter in the universe and used accreation to create planets, solar systems and galaxies.
  • Earth is believed to have been formed about 4.5 billion years ago. When being formed all the denser objects went to the middle of the earth because of gravity and density
  • Cyanobacteria that lived in water was able to use photosynthesis to create oxygen and change the way the atmosphere worked
  • Originally there was no water on earth, but scientist believe that meteorites that hit earth contained very little water inside and created our huge oceans with the help of volcanoes.
  • Volcanoes created a deadly atmosphere that wasn't livable. Eventually it got changed by cyanobacteria whcih was a key event.
