  • Britian, France, and Spain kept fighting for more land. They were getting pretty frusterated with each other, especially when Britian and France both claimed the Ohio Valley. That's what caused the French and Indian war. Britian wanted the Ohio Valley so could use the river to plant and farm for their colonie(s). But France on the other hand, wanted the Ohio Valley so they could trap squraels and stuff for their fur.
  • The Stamp Act
  • During the French and Indian war, that lasted 10 years, the war was interfearing with the clonists in Britian. To stop the obnoxious fighting that killed 2,000 of Britian's settlers, Britian created the, "Proclamation of 1763" that gave the native americans all west of the Appala Ehhan Mountains.
  • The Boston Massacre
  • The British government left thousands of soldiers in the colonies to protect the colonists after the French and Indian War. So the British government made, "The Quartering Act". ThQuarteing Act provided the colonists places to live for the soldiers. It also gave the soldiers supplies like food, fule, candles and transportation if nessecary so the colonists didn't have to pay as much for the soldiers.
  • The Boston Tea Party
  •   In 1765, Parliament passed a new tax law to help pay for the troops who were protecting the colonists. The act (law) made the colonists pay tax on actual printed paper, and to prove that the colonists actually paid, every paper would have to have a big blue stamp on it. Playing cards, newspapers, marriage licences, and pamphlet were taxed.
