  • On April 14,1865 Abraham Lincoln and his wife Mary approached Ford's Theater 
  • This performance is amazing!
  • I hope we can come back another day, and watch another show.
  •  The couple was enjoying the play, but they did not expect what happened next.
  • John Wilkes Booth, a Confederate sympathizer and actor shoots Lincoln in the back of the head.
  • This man has just shot my husband. Somebody help!
  • While Booth escaped, people were in shock about the events that had just occurred.
  • Someone has just shot the president, what are we going to do?
  • We need to find somewhere to house him, and quickly!
