In this scene it is depicted that Mary had more uncontrollable feelings toward losing the Lord than Peter and the other disciple. in one aspect she can be seen as having less controlled feelings, however in another she can be seen as a more caring individual. Either of these ideas can be used to depict a negative or positive bias from the author.
Peter and the other disciple leave while Mary begins to weep at the loss of their Lord.
Do not hold me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.
In this account it can be seen that Mary had uncontrollable emotions when it came to the death of Jesus. However she did prove to be more caring for sensitive situations.
