Storyboard Text

  • My lenses are made of high-tech plastic which can be found mostly in China! My nose pads are also made of plastic but just not high-tech. How do you make plastic? you might ask? Plastic are derived from materials found in nature, such as natural gas, oil, coal, minerals and plants. Which we can get them from mining and forestry
  • My frame are a bit of a mix. It made of iron and aluminum. But both of these materials are mostly the same. We can get these two materials from mining and their largest producer in the world is China. The only different between these two is where we get them. Iron is from iron ores and aluminum is from a ore called bauxite.
  • Lastly, My tips are made of rubber. Rubber came from a tree called hevea brasiliensis and these trees are mostly in Thailand.
  • The lens start out as a liquid polymer in a barrel which is then injected into a high precision lens mold. From there, the lens goes through a range of manufacturing processes and quality checking to make sure it's flawless and crystal clear. Then the lens has to be cut down to fit the frame. Then they attach the lens to the frame.
  • Wow that took a lot effort!
  • And that is how I was created.
  • Oh no! I think I forgot it at school.
  • Also, did you see my case? I can't seem to find it.
