  • People protesting that Great Britain violated our space. Also, can't trade with Britain or France and many merchants are mad. The people are also angry because Britain helped the Native American try to destroy the Americans.
  • When James Madison got elected for president he knew exactly what he is going to do. He went to congress and asked could we declare war against Britain. Then, congress said yes and America was ready.
  • There was no outcome from this war. The United States and Great Britain signed a treaty that said neither side gained or lossed any territory. This treaty was called the treaty of Ghent.
