Collin who was 13 years old could not possibly wait, not even for 1 second! Collin dashed through the street nearly tripping over a dog standing around near by. He was on his way to see Layla, his crush. Since kinder garden the two love-birds have had a thing for each other. But, Layla and Collin were forbidden to speak to each other. Ever since the little feud between the families.
Collin tried to push away those heavy, sad thoughts as he sprinted his way down the blocks. His eyes were clouded with happiness. Layla's house was far away but that wouldn't keep him from seeing her. His legs ached from the running and decided to take a little break.
He got up and ran for Layla's house, finally he arrived, sweat poured down his face as he instantly tried to wipe it off. He lost patience and began numerously pressing the door bell. Then, standing at the door, was Layla. They exchanged a few glances, then began to walked slowly towards each other. They were like two slow turtles walking towards each other step by step, awkwardly.
"Hi Collin!" Layla chirped, blushing, her face turning red as a tomato."What are you doing here? I told you my dad wasn't home tomorrow!" Layla explained, nervous her dad might appear behind her. "I couldn't help it! I lost patience and came early." Collin replied embarrassingly. "Ha! More like 'super' early!" Layla joked. Collin looked around for anyone, then turned to Layla and smiled nervously.
"Hey! What's going on?!" A shrill voice called out. "Oh no!" Layla's voice trailed off as her dad's stomping grew louder. "Layla! I told you to stay away from this boy!" Layla's dad yelled, gritting his teeth. "Dad..I'm sorr-" "Get in the house!" Her dad interrupted. He looked at Collin and slammed the door, leaving him all alone.
Layla's mom comes and stares at Layla, disappointed. "You mustn't disobey your father like that!" Layla's mom explained looking out the window, to see Collin walking away. Layla then learned to not disobey her father's orders, and Collin too.
