  • People from North Africa traveled through the Sahara dessert to trade their salt for gold in Ghana
  • People from West Africa traveled through there jungles, full of gold mines to trade for salt at Ghana
  • There would also be people who would silent barter
  • This mean that people would trade their items with other people who did not speak there language
  • And that's how people traded with salt and gold during the middle ages in Africa
