Hello! Welcome to the Indus Valley Civilization! This civilization began about 5,000 years ago in modern day Pakistan and Northern India. It started near the Indus River. Two of the biggest cities were Mohenjo Daro and Harappa.
These are our civilizations homes. Our homes are kept cool inside. Thick walls keep us cool in the heat of summer. Some of our houses just have one room. Other house can contain more than others.
In our civilization, in our bathrooms people stand on a brick 'shower tray' and tip the clean water over themselves from a jar. We are also known for the earliest known system of flushed toilets.
To The Bathroom
The "Great Bath" in our civilization is without doubt the earliest public water tank in the whole ancient world. The floor of the tank is watertight due to finely fitted bricks and mud laid on edge with a kind of plaster and the side walls are constructed in a similar manner.
Sealings were used in our civilization for trade. They would be good ceramics
