Storyboard Text

  • When Hamilton and Burr were running against each other in office, things were not enjoyable.
  • Hamilton was honored president and beat Burr in the running. Burr was upset he didn't win but he got vice president.
  • I can't take it anymore!!
  • The two men were of different political parties so they never agreed on anything. After they had both had enough, they announced they were having a duel.
  • That's enough!
  • To start their duel, both men had a gun in hand, and had to take ten steps forward. After ten steps, they were allowed to turn around and shoot.
  • After they had both turned around, they both shot. Hamilton purposely missed, but Burr did not. Burr had shot Hamilton and he was pronounced dead on the scene.
  • Some people say that Burr didn't mean to kill Hamilton. But as you can see, this event was deadly, and a very sad time for many people
