  • Those darn Republicans'!
  • The Election of 1800
  • Thomas Jefferson won the third election of the United States of America!
  • Marbury vs. Madison
  •  Why would my case be denied, Chief Justice John Marshall?
  • Your case has been denied Mr. Marbury
  • The Judicial Review
  • Marbury's case is denied for the  unjustification of the judicial review and this is FINAL!
  •     In this picture, we can see that we have two American citizens and their feelings towards the presidential election between Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr.  The Republicans supported Thomas Jefferson as the president and Aaron Burr as the vice president. Both candidates resulted with a tie and citizens had to revote. pg.309
  •       After becoming president, Thomas Jefferson didn't have commissions yet. One of the commissions that did get sent out was to William Marbury. In order to force the delivery of his commission, Marbury took his case directly to the chief justice. John Marshall's jurisdiction denied Marbury's case for further investigation. pg.309
  •     Chief Justice John Marshall denied William Marbury's commission case because he lacked the judicial review.  Judicial review includes: (a) The Constitution is the supreme law of the land. (b) When conflict arises between the Constitution and any other law(s), the Constitution must be followed. (c) The judicial branch has a duty to up hold the Constitution. pg.309
