RISING ACTION Many witnesses were deposed and some key facts were unveiled.
CLIMAX Dupin finds a ribbon, and deduces that a sailor was involved in the murder, due to the type of knot.
FALLING ACTION The Sailor enters the abode, expecting to retrieve his ourang-outang, but instead reveals the entire truth behind the murders.
RESOLUTION The ourang-outang is uncovered as the culprit of the crime, and Le Bon is liberated from the crime.
