Storyboard Text

  • The French and the Indian Revolution started when the British and French both wanted territory over the Ohio River valley.
  • Dude, it's mine back off!!
  • Not uh, I was here first!!
  • George Washington led his troops to attack and defeat a small French force, but Washington surrendered when the French counterattacked.
  • We surrender!!
  • After the early battles of Nova Scotia, Fort Duquesne, Quebec, and Montreal, the British captured Montreal and forced the French to surrender the rest the Canada.
  • Noooo we lost!!
  • After the Treaty of Paris, the British kept Canada, the Great Lakes Region, the Ohio River Valley, and Florida. Mississippi became the boundaries between British and Spanish claims.
  • Because the Albany Plan of Union failed, the colonies took matters into their own hands and attempted to unite as one.
  • Long after the war, the changes the British made to impose taxes angered colonists who wanted to preserve the loose empire they had.
  • We don't want to be taxedddddddd!!
