Storyboard Text
- "I have caused you guys anxiety, I apologize to my community" Chief Elder announced.
- "We accept your apology," the audience announced back.
- "What do you mean," Jonas whispered.
- "Jonas has been selected to be our next receiver of memory," Chief Elder announced.
- Jonas was very happy and excited for the ceremony but when it became time he only felt terror and humiliation. When Jonas got to the stage he started to face his fear of being on stage in front of a lot of people. Jonas tried to peak through the curtain to see what was happening and to see what he'll be going up against. 59
- "We failed in our last section" Chief Elder stated.
- Chief Elder made people have lots of anxiety over this ceremony. So, she apologized to them for all the difficulties this ceremony caused. The audience forgave her because they knew this event is really important. 60
- "Jonas, Chief Elder announced, speaking not to him alone but to the entire community of which he was a part.' Chief Elder announced.
- "You will be trained to be our next receiver of memory, we thank you for your child hood," Chief Elder announced.
- Jonas was waiting to see what his job is going to be and it now is his turn to see what he has. Jonas was selected to be a receiver of memory. Jonas didn't know what to feel like because he was so scared of being on a stage in front of lots of people. 60
- "JONAS, JONAS, JONAS" the audience chanted.
- It was around 10 years ago when Jonas was just a toddler. Chief Elder didn't want to bring the experience because it caused them all discomfort. Chief Elder is trying to make sure the old experience doesn't happen again. 61
- Jonas officially found out that his job is a receiver of speech. However, now he'll have to train so he can practice his job and get better at what he'll have to do for the rest of his life. 64
- Jonas knew the community was accepting him and his new role. This gave him life, the way they had given in to the original child. So, he was kind of excited but he was also partially nervous. 64
