Madeline asked Clara her nurse if she could meet Olly the other day and she said no. But because Clara is warm hearted and know's that Madeline never gets to do anything because she has a sickness that is called SCID. She allows her to meet him with circumstances.
Initial Dialogue or Event...

Madeline understand that she could meet Olly. But didn't know why Clara was allowing her to meet Olly. And especially since she never really met other people besides Clara her mother and her teacher.

Because Madeline asked Clara if she could meet Olly. The only way that she could meet him first is if he comes over and goes through the filtering room so that he won't make Madeline sick.
Her voice thick with confusion and, also fear. And that's when I know for sure. I am not sick and I have never been( Yoon 275).
That when doctor Melissa Francis told Madeline that she might not be sick and that she doesn't have SCID. So it caused Madeline to be curious and look at her medical history. But realized that there is no information about SCID and any information about her having it.
When Madeline didn't find out any information about her and her sickness she started to question if she really has it and if her mother is hiding any information from her. Causing her mother to question Madeline and making her nervous trying to cover what she is really hiding.
When Madeline's mother begin to become nervous and stalling Madeline could tell that her mother was keeping information from her. And that she really wasn't sick and that she was never sick in the first place.
