Eris, goddess of discord, drops a golden apple for the fairest god/goddess. Hera, Athena and Aphrodite all want the apple. Zeus chooses Paris to judge who deserves the apple. Hera offers power, Athena offers him wealth and Aphrodite offers him the most beautiful woman. Paris chooses Aphrodite.
Aphrodite offers Paris Helen, the most beautiful woman in the world. Paris travels to Sparta to steal Helen from her husband Menelaus. Helen leaves willingly with Paris, they also take all of Menelaus money.
After Menelaus notices Helen is gone he calls upon all Greece to help. The chieftains came ready to cross the sea and fight until Troy is destroyed.
Achilles and Agamemnon argued because Agamemnon did not want to return Chryseis to her father. Achilles offers him his maiden, Bryseis. Chrysalis gets returned to her father but Achilles no longer fights in the war, he stays in his tent and pouts at the fact that he had to give up Bryseis.
Achilles gives Patroclus his armor and men with ships so he can go fight for him. While Patroclus is fighting he is killed by Hector with a mortal wound with an arrow.
After finding out Patroclus was killed in war Achilles decides to join back and fight to seek revenge for Patroclus death. Achilles gets armor made by Hephaestus. While in war Achilles tricks Hector and stabs him in the throat with the sword given to him by Athena.
