Storyboard Text

  • Title
  • Paraphrase
  • Connotation
  • The title of this poem is Annabel Lee, and that name reminds me of a southern girl.
  • Attitude/Shift
  • The narrator tells a story of his relationship with a girl named Annabel Lee. They are young, but have a very deep love for each other. The angels got jealous, so they killed Annabel Lee. He explains that even in death they are still in love, and he still sleeps next to her coffin at night.
  • Title
  • Connotations- chilling, angels, sepulcher (tomb), kingdom
  • Theme
  • There is a shift in stanza 5, when the narrator goes from talking about him and Annabel Lee's love, to how she was killed and taken from him. The attitude is almost deranged or mad.
  • Now I now that the "Annabel Lee" is a girl that was in a relationship with the narrator and dies.
  • I believe the theme is everlasting love.
