A time where I had an argument with my mother where effective communication skills were not used was summer of last year. My mom and I were arguing about me not wanting to do a sport during the fall because I wanted to be a little lazy and didn’t really enjoy or know how to really play some of the sport in the fall. My mom kept pushing me and suggesting I do soccer, since it would be good to do something during the fall and I knew how to play that sport. But I really didn’t enjoy playing soccer so I kept saying no and resisting. We had a big disagreement about it and it did not go well.
You should do soccer this fall, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Idk, I don't really like playing.
Just try it. You cannot be lazy for 2 months.
But I don't want to.
It's either do a sports fall or no basketball during winter. You ca-n't be lazy.
That's not fair though, mom come on don't be like that.
Stop being difficult and stop complaining its a s-port, you will be fine.
I am not trying to but you're being unfair. Just let me do what I want to do please.
we're done arguing about t-his you are going to play so-ccer. END OF DISCUSSION
