The first stop for Odysseus and his men was Ismarus, the city of the Cicons, which he and his men ransacked.
The next stop is the Land of the Lotus Eaters, which occurred when Zeus sent a storm that knocked Odysseus and his men off course. If you ate the lotus flowers on the island, you never wanted to leave.
They next sailed to the Land of the Cyclops who lived in caves.
Odysseus and his men found the cave to a cyclops named Polyphemus. His men wanted to steal some things from Polyphemus's cave and leave, but Odysseus wanted to meet the cyclops hoping to receive a gift from him.
The cyclops decided to start to eat the men of Odysseus in response to Odysseus's response about receiving a gift.
Odysseus and some of his men were able to escape Polyphemus by stabbing his eyes, therefore blinding him, and Odysseus and the rest of his men were able to sail away.
