  • Oranges-   Has something to do with oranges (beginning) . Oranges - What he used to pay for the chocolate  (end).
  • The Poem 'Oranges' is about a boy walking with a girl for the fist time and they go to a drugstore. The boy tried  to buy her  candy  but he didn't have enough money so he gave the cashier  a nickel and a orange, and the cashier knew what it was about  so she let him get the candy. 
  • Good connotation- bright, smile, light, yellow. Bad connotation- gray, December, head down.
  • Attitude  #1 -  Embarrassment~  Because he  did not have enough money for the chocolate     to empress   his girlfriend.  Attitude  #2 - Happiness~ He gets to go out with a girl he likes , and the lady at checkout didn't say anything about him paying with an orange.
