  • We have enough food to survive, don't touch the cows or you will die.
  • We've run out of food and the storms are still preventing our departure but we must remember not to touch the cows.
  • Odysseus goes to the other side of the island to pray to the gods for help, Zeus puts him to sleep as he's praying.
  • While he is sleeping his men decide to sacrifice the cows to the gods before they starve.
  • Men! I can't believe you killed the cows after I told you you'd perish, Helios look what they've done.
  • All of Odysseus's men are killed, and all his ships are destroyed by lightning bolts sent by Zeus, and he is the lone survivor.
  • Odysseus's men eating the cattle while he was put asleep by Zeus after he tried to pray.
  • Odysseus shows loyalty to the gods by not eating the cattle, and instead going to pray for help.
  • Zeus striking the ships with lightning bolts, killing the crew and wrecking the ships.
