  • Born a Michael King Jr. on January 15, 1929. When he was older, he stepped in as pastor of Ehenezer Baptist church upon the death of his father-in-law. He was renamed Martin Luther King Jr.
  • In Washington D.C. in August the 28th 1963, MLK did his "I have a dream" speech at the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. He was shot and killed on April 4, 1968 while leaving an apartment
  • Nelson Mandela was born on 18 July 1918 in the village of Mvezo in Umtata, which was then part of South Africa's Cape Province. His father died 1927 when Nelson was 9 years old, he was then adopted by Jongintabs Dalindyebo. when he grew up he was incarcerate, convicted of a trying to steal government power which is a felony.
  • Nelson Mandela was a nonviolence anti-apartheid activist, politician, philanthropist who was South Africa's first black president from 1994-1999. Nelson was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to dismantle the country's apartheid system. He died at his home in Houghton, Johannesburg, South Africa, while surrounded by family.

  • Martin Luther was born November 10, 1483. Martin Luther was a German professor of theology, composer, priest, monk, and a figure in the Protestant Reformation. He rejected several teachings and practices of the Roman Catholic Church.

  • The 95 Theses, are a list of questions and propositions for debate and he nailed them on the Wittenberg Castle Church doors . Martin Luther died after a stroke on February 18, 1546, at the age of 62 during a trip to his hometown of Eisleben, Germany.
