Story of An Hour Story of An Hour is about A woman named Mrs. Mallard. She was afflicted with heart troubles. In the story she was presented with the information by her sister Josephine that her husband had died due to a railroad disaster.

The exposition occurs when Mrs. Mallard is gently presented with information from her Sister Josephine and her Brother-In-Law Richard that her husband has died
The rising action occurs when Mrs. Mallard runs up the stairs of her home and encloses herself in a room and begins to process what she had just been told.
The climax occurs when Mrs. Mallard begins to experience joy due to the fact that her husband is no longer alive and now since her husband is no longer alive she can now be free.
The falling action occurs when Josephine calls Mrs. Mallard out of her room. As she is walking down the stairs she begins to reflect on freedom she has now obtained after the death of her husband.
The resolution occurs when Mrs. Mallard sees her husband at the bottom of the stairs and realizes he really isn't dead. She then dies after seeing her husband and realizing she isn't actually free .
