Storyboard Text

  • Uncle tom's cabin was an book that harriet beecher stowe published to inform the people in the north about slavery because slavery wasn't in the north only in the south.
  • In the book it showed how they where treated by their owners they would get beat for doing things wrong or not doing what they where told to do they where always abused even if they didn't do anything.
  • When the northerners found out how they were getting beat they where shocked even though it said they were getting beat they had no idea it was as bad until they saw it with their own eyes that's when the north started fighting to end slavery this pushed us closer to war because the south wanted slavery to spread but the north didn't want to have anything to do with slavery so they fought to end slavery they had abolitionists join the fight and their president.
