MR. HUDSON I'M AFRAID I HAVE TO TELL YOU WE NEED TO STOP FUNDING YOU! YOU HAVE ALREADY FAILED TWICE. GOOD LUCK!
At around 1565, a child named Henry Hudson was born to a wealthy family. He was born to a man named Henry Hudson II and a woman named Barbra Alderman. Not much else is known about his very early life.
This time, I'm bound to find something.
GOOD LUCK HENRY!!
When he grew up, he believed that he could find a Northwest Passage as a quicker way to Asia. He searched for people to fund him. Eventually, some merchants decide to fund him.
Well, isn't this splendid!
On his first 2 voyages, he failed to get to the Northwest Passage because he got stuck by ice. He did however, find 3 bodies of water and two pieces of land. Although, that didn't matter to him as much. The merchants then stopped funding him.
Still determined to find that passage, Hudson went to the Dutch East India Company, and was funded from there. He set off on his third voyage.
He came back and didn't find a thing. Soon, the king hired him instead, and so Hudson left the Dutch East India Company. This time, he got stuck there in the middle of the winter. After the winter, with hardly any food, Hudson said he was continuing his journey. The men mutinied and sent him off on a little boat.
Hudson was never heard from again. However, today, there are 3 bodies of water named after him, as they were explored by him. Also, there are 2 areas in Canada, which were explored by him also. They are now Quebec and Montreal.
