Your son will grow up to be either a great leader or a great teacher.
A wise man tells the king that his son has lived many honest and good lives and that he will either grow up to be a great leader or a great teacher. He says the son is the only one who can decide which he is.
The baby was named Siddhartha Gautama. Gautama’s father built a paradise for him so that’s he would never want to leave the palace and would want to become a leader instead of a teacher. His father protected him from the bad things in life. Gautama stayed in the palace for about 20 years.
Gautama decides he wants to go out and see life outside the palace. His father let’s him but before Gautama goes he tries to get rid of any sign of sickness, suffering and death. Gautama heads out after this has been done.
Gautama comes across an old man. he asks his guard why the man has coloured his hair white and moves so slowly. the guard reply’s that it is old age and that it happens to everyone.
