Storyboard Text

  • When Little Hans was 3 years old he developed an active interest in his 'widdler, and also those of other people.
  • Mummy, have you got a widdler too?
  • When Little Hans was three and a half his mother told him to stop messing with his widdler otherwise she would call the doctor to come and cut it off.
  • Don't touch your widdler or else I will call the doctor to come and cut it off!
  • When Hans was three and a half his little sister, Hanna, was born. Hans didn't like the attention his sister was receiving from his mother and he wished his mother drowned her in the bath.
  • Whan Hans was almost 5, he developed a fear of horses. He was afraid of horses biting him in the street.
  •
  • Freud noted that Little Hans didn't like horses with black bits round their mouth. Freud inferred that this was a symbol of his father, and the black bits were his father's moustache.
  • What don't you like about horses?
  • I don't like them when they have black bits around their mouth
  • After meeting with Freud, Little Hans talked to his father using horse terms. This shows that Freud's theory was right about Hans thinking his father is like a horse.
  • Daddy, don't trot away from me!
