  • The main importance was mainly to end the American Revolutionary War. 
  • So what are some of the impacts? You know, like things that affected the war or maybe other people?
  • France had given up all its territories in mainland North America, effectively ending any foreign military threat to the British colonies there.
  • The treaty was signed by King George III. 
  • The colonial empire of Great Britain was destroyed. There were U.S. boundaries that were established. The British also acknowledged the independence of the United States.
